Main job?
Christopher:
Definitely self-education and learning all the necessary knowledge from more experienced colleagues. Something new is constantly emerging in the IT industry and it is necessary to stay up to date, whether it is cloud, servers, networks, mobile devices or customer endpoints. But it’s not just about IT knowledge. Another important part of the job is communication within the internal structure of the company and familiarization with the individual processes or procedures. A good team is a great advantage, it is important to have support when dealing with first tickets and customer issues. The more experience and knowledge I gather, the better IT senior I can become in the future.
Vojta:
As part of the normal admin operations, I was put in charge of the complete administration of our Vivantio ticketing system when I joined. As a junior, I have the opportunity to choose the next team I want to move up to within the company.
A typical working day for an IT junior?
Christopher:
Every day is different. I mostly deal with tickets that come in from customers. The complexity of the tasks varies considerably, even within a single client. When something needs to be physically plugged in, replaced or serviced quickly, I travel all over the country. Some of our customers have paid inspection days where I go out for a full working day and deal with pre-arranged and unarranged problems and I am also available for consultations.
Vojta:
My work is very varied, mostly ticket solving and self-education.
Why did you choose System4a and how long have you been with the company?
Christopher:
In a month, I’ll be celebrating my first year. I have a background in a completely different field and since I have been an avid fan of the IT field since I was a kid, I didn’t give up and responded to the junior ad. I liked the culture of a small company as I used to work in corporates. Furthermore, a great company environment, interesting and non-monotonous work or good personal development for the future.
Vojta:
I’ve been with the company for five months and I chose S4u because I was impressed with the way I was interviewed. I saw the potential to learn new things and get exposure to new technologies. At the same time, I had the feeling that there would be a friendly atmosphere and a good environment, which was confirmed.
Future plans?
Christopher:
Gain as much knowledge as possible in the IT industry. Improve in networking, datacenter, cloud and server solutions, despite the fact that they may be on the decline according to some. But time will tell. Mostly I hope I stay happy because I feel I couldn’t have gotten a better job opportunity and I appreciate it.

What interests/entertains you?
Christopher:
I am an avid bass player and fan of all music ♬ trail biking🚲, movies🎥, TV shows, board and computer games 🎲, IT trends, hiking⛰ and overall traveling. I’d love to get my own motorcycle, I’ve been drawn to motorcycles for a while now. 🏍️
Vojta:
Mostly fishing🐟 and sports – especially floorball🏒 and cycling 🚵♂️, working and spending time with family. 👨👩👧
